Celtic have questions to answer coming out of the game against Aberdeen, which ended in a 2-2 draw. In the first 45 minutes, it had looked like the Hoops were going to cruise to victory. Reo Hatate scored a brilliant opener and Kyogo soon added a second. But then, the unthinkable happened after the break. The Dons found their way back into the game and on another day, they could have actually won.

This result does not mean that Aberdeen will definitely be there, coming for the title, come May. But it does show that this Celtic team is not as good as they had looked early on in the season. At least not without Cameron Carter-Vickers.

That has been the biggest issue for Celtic in recent weeks. Without Carter-Vickers, they have looked like a shell of the team we saw earlier this season.

Auston Trusty was supposed to cruise it in the Scottish league. But we are yet to see one convincing performance from the centre-back who was signed on deadline day for a transfer fee believed to be in the region of £6 million.

In the absence of Carter-Vickers, defence has by far been the biggest worry for Celtic. The seven goals against Borussia Dortmund could be written off as a bad day at the office against last season's Champions League finalist.

But there is zero excuse for letting slip of a two-goal lead at home against Aberdeen. There quite simply is not. The Dons even found the back of the net a third time, only for it to be ruled out by VAR.

Trusty does not look like someone Celtic can put a lot of trust in at the back. Alex Valle has shown both his strengths and weaknesses. And Carter-Vickers' return cannot come soon enough.
