Celtic have already reaped the benefits of the signings made by the club during the Ange Postecoglou era. Of course, the success on the pitch is unquestionable. The Hoops won five trophies with the Australian as their manager. And players like Kyogo, Daizen Maeda, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Reo Hatate and more, continue to be regular starters under the management of Brendan Rodgers as well.

Also, we have seen the Scottish transfer record being set in consecutive summer windows. Both times by players who were brought in when Postecoglou was Celtic manager.

Jota moved to Al-Ittihad for a £25 million transfer fee in the summer of 2023, matching the record previously set by Kieran Tierney in 2019 when he moved to Arsenal. Then it would be broken this year, as Matt O'Riley made a £30 million move to Brighton & Hove Albion.

Celtic are now looking for a significant transfer fee for another player who was signed while Postecoglou was in the Parkhead hot seat. We are talking about Alexandro Bernabei.

Celtic want €10 million exit fee for Ange Postecoglou signing

Things never really worked out for Bernabei at Celtic. He was not able to get ahead of Greg Taylor in the pecking order at any point in time. But the Argentine is having a fantastic time out on loan at Internacional in Brazil, and that has only raised his transfer value.

As reported by Portal do Colorado, Celtic are asking for something around €10 million. As the possibility of signing Bernabei permanently is practically impossible, Internacional intends to convince the European team to extend the loan for another season.

It remains to be seen how things turn out for Bernabei over the coming months. He looks headed for a Celtic exit for sure. But will he remain at Internacional or end up somewhere else?
