A lot of people think that scoring goals for Celtic is simple. On paper, that appears to make sense, as the Scottish champions are miles in front of any other team in the Premiership and consistently top the goalscoring charts in the league. But then again, succeeding at Parkhead is arguably tougher than any other place in Scotland.

It all comes down to the pressure of performing. When you play for Celtic, the expectation is to win pretty much every game you take part in. Not every player can deal with that and perform on a consistent basis. That does not mean that they won't succeed elsewhere.

Oliver Burke spent time on loan at Celtic, from West Bromwich Albion, during Brendan Rodgers' first spell at the club. Ultimately, he managed to score only four times for the Hoops in 19 appearances.

To be fair, Burke's scoring numbers have not been impressive at multiple other places as well. Despite that, he continues to enjoy a career the top leagues across Europe. And recently, he was announced as a new Union Berlin player.

As reported by Union Berlin's official website, Burke has joined the club. The length of the contract has not been disclosed.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Burke. He spent the previous season at Werder Bremen, and even though he scored just six times, it was enough to convince Union Berlin to sign him. At 28 years of age, he is not in his prime as a footballer. Will that see him score more often? Time shall tell.

Some speculation had linked Burke with a return to Celtic Park and a reunion with Rodgers as well. But clearly, that is not on the cards at this point.
