Celtic are already set to see one of their starters leave as Adam Idah is on the verge of a move to Swansea City. The speculation cropped up out of nowhere following the club's Champions League qualification exit, in which the Irish striker missed a vital spot kick. And now, it looks like another player could be heading for the Parkhead exit door, as a different English Championship club have come calling for his signature.

The player we are talking about is none other than Yang Hyun-jun. Celtic have announced the arrival of Michel-Ange Balikwisha already but even then, their options on the flanks are limited.

So, one has to wonder if it would make sense to part ways with Yang at this point. That being said, Celtic are also said to be in talks to sign Tunisian international winger Sebastian Tounekti from Hammarby.

As reported by Anthony Joseph, Birmingham City have offered a deal worth around £1.5m for Yang. It’s understood that Celtic are considering the offer, and talks are continuing.

Yang has struggled to establish himself as a key player for Celtic since his arrival. There have been flashes of quality, like a good run of form at the start of this year. But overall, he has been inconsistent and failed to meet expectations.

If Yang did end up leaving Celtic before the end of this window, it could prove to be a worry though. Simply because the Hoops are very light on options on the wings right now.

They have seen three wingers leave this summer in the form of Nicolas Kuhn, Luis Palma and Marco Tilio. And Jota is out injured for the foreseeable future, and is not expected to return to action this year. So, letting Yang leave as well might not be the best idea at this point in time.
