It has been quite the eventful 24 hours for Celtic in the summer transfer market. Out of nowhere, it emerged that Swansea City not only wanted to sign Adam Idah but were close to getting a deal done as well. Of course, the Hoops were already light on options up top and struggling to find a consistent goalscorer.
Those issues would only be magnified if Idah also left, despite his struggles in front of goal this season. Daizen Maeda has been struggling for form as well. And other than him, the other options that Brendan Rodgers has at striker are Shin Yamada and Johnny Kenny.
That is not a group of strikers that opposition defences will be worried about at the moment. But it looks like Celtic could be about sign somene who might just do that.
As reported by Sky Sports, Celtic are in talks to sign Anderlecht striker Kasper Dolberg. It’s understood the Hoops explored the conditions of a deal earlier this month and were quoted a transfer fee of around £10m. However, the Belgian club are open to negotiation after being knocked out of Europe.

Well, as far as proven goalscorers go, Dolberg is certainly up there. He managed to score 24 goals for Anderlecht last season. But it is not only in Belgium that has been a success.
Dolberg has a solid goalscoring record for Ajax and Nice in the past as well. Those are two clubs were the expectation would have been high and the competition tougher.
Other than that, he has also appeared on 55 occasions for the Denmark national team. He is still just 27 years of age as well. So, if Celtic are able to sign him this summer, they would be signing a top striker.
