Over the past few weeks, the Celtic managerial situation has been the focus of the fans. Brendan Rodgers decided to resign from his post after falling eight points behind Hearts in the title race, even though he had always maintained that he was intent on seeing out his three-year contract with the Hoops. It was not to be though, and considering Dermot Desmond's statement following his departure, perhaps it was not going to be sustainable for much longer anyway.

Celtic have been linked heavily with Wilfried Nancy in recent days. It would be a risky appointment to bring in someone with no European experience. The last thing that the Hoops need is to get caught up in a cycle of bad appointments, like the Rangers have done, having sacked managers in four consecutive seasons.

One of them was Philippe Clement. He was shown the Ibrox exit door last season. And now, he finally finds himself in another job. This time, down in England.

Norwich City have officially announced the appointment of Clement as their new manager. And Celtic fans decided to have a little fun in the comments.

One Celtic fan apparently could not believe that Norwich City had decided to appoint Clement. He commented: "April 1st."

Another put in what feels like a tongue-in-cheek message for the new Norwich City manager, as he starts his new journey down in England: "Good luck hero."

A Celtic fan also commented: "Never expected to see him getting a move to a big club following his stint at the Rangers."

To be honest, it would not be right to determine how good a manager Clement is based on what he did at Ibrox. To be fair to him, nobody has really succeeded in that job. So, there is a possibility that he could prove to be an excellent pick for Norwich City. One cannot forget that he was a major success in Belgium with Club Brugge
