Celtic have gotten some deals done already this summer, while some exits are set to take place as well. That is pretty much the story of every transfer window for a club of this size. Even then, this one does seem more eventful than others. And it looks like another move is now very close to completion, with a medical booked.

It has been the longest-running saga of Celtic's summer. The constant speculation surrounding Greg Taylor and where he will end up at the end of his contract at Parkhead.

While remaining at Celtic was never officially ruled out, there were several hints along the way that suggested that it was unlikely. And now, it looks like we finally know where Taylor will be playing his football next season.

As reported by Anthony Joseph, PAOK are closing in on the signing of Taylor. He is due to undergo a medical with the Greek side next week. FC Copenhagen had also been interested in the Scottish international left-back.

With that, it looks like the Taylor saga is finally settled. Of course, there were many Celtic fans who were holding on to hope that there would be a late U-turn and the Scot would end up staying. That was not to be.

To be fair, it is an understandable decision on the part of Taylor. At 27 years of age, he was going to be the backup option to Kieran Tierney at left-back if he chose to extend his contract and stay. That would be difficult for someone to accept, especially since he has been a starter for so long.

We can only wish him the best of luck at PAOK. He will also get the change to reunite with a former Celtic teammate with Jonjoe Kenny recently joining the Greek side as well.
