Celtic are used to bringing back former players. Jota made the move back to Parkhead in January after 18 tough months away from the club. Kieran Tierney and Ross Doohan are both believed to have agreed pre-contract deals as well and will return to their boyhood club this summer. And could Andy Robertson had his name to that list in the future?

Robertson spent six years playing at the youth level for Celtic. He is also a well-known supporter of the club and has never made his love for the Hoops a secret, despite spending the past eight years at Liverpool and establishing himself as a legend at Anfield.

It does look like the winds of change are blowing at Liverpool though. Jurgen Klopp left last summer and over time, one would imagine that the rest of the old guard will as well.

Robertson's current deal runs out in the summer of 2026. As reported by the Daily Record, while speaking to Match of the Day, the Liverpool left-back admitted that his future is up in the air when asked about his position moving forward:

"Obviously, the club are going to have a busy summer, so we need to see where everyone stands.

"But it's been a special time here, I loved my time here.

"It's been eight special years, and I've cherished every moment I've played in front of these fans, especially at Anfield. Today was special."

Of course, there has always been talk about Robertson potentially joining Celtic someday. He is a true supporter of the club and it would only be right if he gets the chance to pull on the green-and-white jersey before he retires.

Then again, one has to wonder if the chance has now passed. Robertson is now 31 years of age. But Celtic are set to bring back Tierney this summer, who is much younger.

As a result, could you see the club having both Tierney and Robertson at the same time, coming for the left-back spot? That is hard to imagine to be very honest.
