Celtic held their Player of the Year Awards on Sunday evening as players from across the men's and women's teams were recognised, as well as one particularly special supporter. The event was held in Glasgow following Celtic's return from the capital, where they beat Hibernian 2-1, and we've compiled all of the award winners.

Men's team

Winning Academy Player of the Year was Hayden Borland, the 18-year-old defender who has enjoyed a good campaign in the Lowland League this season. He has made 50 appearances in all competitions, playing almost 4,500 minutes. He has found the net three times and registered one assist.

Celtic's Young Player of the Year award was picked up by Yang, who has been recognised by supporters after his good season. The South Korean has enjoyed his best season, goalscoring-wise, since joining the Hoops, having scored nine goals, including seven in the league. He has become a regular under Martin O'Neill and has helped the Celts out a lot this campaign.

Young POTY wasn't the only award Yang picked up as his goal against Rangers on January 3 was named Men's Goal of the Season. He dribbled past defenders that day and struck high into the Gers net. Sadly, it was the only goal that day as we ultimately fell to a 3-1 defeat, but still a fantastic strike.

Picking up the Men's Players' Player of the Year, Men's Player of the Year and Men's Top Goalscorer was Benjamin Nygren, who has scored 20 goals in all competitions. He has been something of a revelation for the Hoops since signing in the summer, helping us out a lot in a difficult season. With 15 goals in the Scottish Premiership, he is a big reason why we are still in the title race, and his transfer value is rapidly rising. A well-deserved treble for the Swede.

Women's team

Women's Goal of the Season is easy to predict. It was, of course, scooped by Maria McAneny for her World Record goal against Hibs. She scored just 4.1 seconds into the game, and it was a legendary moment that will go down in football history.

The Women's Top Goalscorer was Saoirse Noonan, who, despite missing out on some gametime when Grant Scott first came in, has now secured her spot again. She has netted 16 goals in 20 appearances in the Scottish Women's Premier League and has shown why she is such a good player for the Hoops.

Picking up Women's Players' Player of the Year was Morgan Cross, who has been unreal this season. She has been a massive threat up front, has scored a number of important goals, and has constantly shown her quality; a well-deserved award.

Winning Women's Player of the Year, as voted by supporters, is Kelly Clark. The defender continues to be a brilliant captain for the club and a real leader. No one can do it like Clark. It has been a difficult season for Celtic Women again, but Clark has kept us in it at times. Hopefully, she'll have a few more seasons in her before she decides to retire, as a player of her quality will be incredibly hard to replace.

The Special Recognition Award

Picking up the Special Recognition Award was supporter Jackie Dow. At the age of 101, he still attends Celtic games at Parkhead, and received the award from O'Neill and Callum McGregor.
