Alan Brazil shares Brendan Rodgers Celtic exit rumour
Brendan Rodgers' second stint as Celtic manager might not have started brilliantly but things have certainly improved over time. Right now, the Hoops are absolutely flying. They are sitting atop the Premiership, nine points ahead of the Rangers, and are also in the Scottish League Cup final. In Europe, they are enjoying one of their best campaigns in a long time, and have picked up seven points from their first four games in the new-look Champions League.
As a result, Celtic fans will be hoping for Rodgers to remain the manager of the club for the foreseeable future. But unfortunately, rumours are already starting to circulate about a potential exit.
Of course, everybody is aware of the circumstances surrounding his last Celtic exit. He left the club in the middle of the 2018/19 season to take the Leicester City. Naturally, there is always the worry that something similar might transpire again.
Some recent rumours have suggested West Ham United as a potential destination for Rodgers. The Hammers are struggling right now, having replaced David Moyes with Julen Lopetegui over the summer.
Alan Brazil shares Brendan Rodgers Celtic exit rumour
Alan Brazil recently shared a rumour he has heard regarding Rodgers recently. As reported by West Ham Zone, he said while speaking on talkSPORT:
"Someone sent me a text last night saying Brendan [Rodgers] for West Ham… What? Brendan Rodgers? He can’t leave, not with how Celtic are playing."
Brazil further went on to add regarding the matter:
"I don’t know if it’s just my mate winding me up because he is a Celtic fan or he’s heard something."
One would think that West Ham United would give Lopetegui some more time to find his feet at the club, having made the bold decision to part ways with Moyes to bring him in. But if things don't improve soon, they might indeed be looking for a new manager in the near future.
That being said, it is hard to imagine that Rodgers would be looking to leave Celtic anytime soon. They are flying at the moment, both domestically and in Europe.
