Celtic are still in contention to win a treble this season. Yet, it feels like there could be a lot of changes in the squad over the summer and a cycle is coming to an end. Of course, it is better to make those changes now than to wait for too long. That is what happened in the 2020/21 campaign and it is safe to say that no Hoops fan wants to see the be repeated ever again.

Naturally, we have seen Celtic be linked with a long list of players in recent times. Some fresh names have emerged while there have been those who have been around for a good while.

One player Celtic have been linked with some time now is Michel-Ange Balikwisha. The Belgian winger currently plays for Royal Antwerp but has had an injury-riddled season, which has limited him to only a handful of appearances over the course of this campaign.

In fact, it looks like he might have made a move already, if not for the injuries. The Belgian talent even confirmed that Celtic had tried to sign him last summer, alongside a few other clubs. As reported by the Daily Record, Balikwisha said:

"I suffered a meniscus injury in the 2024 winter transfer window.

"And last summer, Celtic, Lille and Lens came knocking and I was out again at a bad time."

It is believed that Celtic could try to sign Balikwisha again in the upcoming summer transfer window. It could take a transfer fee in the region of £4 million to pull such a move off.

Let's see how things play out for Celtic over the remainder of the season. The situation on the wings is certainly worth keeping an eye on.

There were calls for Nicolas Kuhn to be dropped following a series of underwhelming displays. But now, it looks like that won't happen as Yang Hyun-jun has suffered an injury and could be out for a few weeks at the very least.

Of course, Brendan Rodgers could change things up a bit by moving Daizen Maeda to the left, Jota to the right and starting with Adam Idah as a striker. But perhaps, it might be better to give Kuhn a few more chances to rediscover his form. If he can do that, he might prove vital in the quest to win the Scottish Cup.
