Celtic have already added to Ange Postecoglou’s squad in the winter transfer window by signing Daizen Maeda, Reo Hatate and Yosuke Ideguchi. The club were expected to get their deals done early but even the most optimistic fans would not have predicted the Hoops to move this swiftly, announcing the three deals on the last day of 2021. Thus, they must definitely be commended for that.

Celtic’s biggest problem this season has been their lack of squad depth and as a result, this triple deal could go a long way in solving that issue.

And the fact that the club have managed to get the deals done early means that it will give the players a chance to adjust to their new surroundings and teammates during the winter break.

But, Celtic could still end up making more signings in January as there are quite a few areas in the squad which need reinforcements.

Here are three Premiership stars who could be good signings for Celtic, as Ange Postecoglou’s side look to further strengthen their squad:

Boyle has been linked with Celtic in the past without the move ever materialising. But it must be said though that he has been impressive for Hibernian in recent seasons.

According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 14 goals and provided 5 assists in 27 appearances across all competitions this season.

Celtic do need to add to their forward department in January and as a result, a move for Boyle would make sense. Of course, there is also the Australian connection with Postecoglou to consider.

It remains to be seen if a move is on the cards or not. But with recent rumours suggesting that Hibernian could look for a £3 million transfer fee, it might be difficult to pull off in January to say the least.
