Not too long ago, it was believed that Tom Rogic’s Celtic career was coming to an end and he was on his way out of Parkhead. He had been an integral part of the first-team in the past but a series of injury problems had meant that he had lost his place in the team.

It is safe to say that Rogic has made quite the comeback since the appointment of Ange Postecoglou as manager and the Australian midfielder has once again established himself as an important member of this Celtic team. So much so that they have missed him a lot in his absence.

Rogic picked up an injury towards the end of last month in a game against Hibernian and has been out action ever since.

It was originally believed that he would be on the sidelines for only two to three weeks though and as a result, there is an expectation that he could be back following the international break although it remains to be seen how things turn out.

Carl Starfelt

Another player who has emerged as an important member of Postecoglou’s team in recent months is Carl Starfelt.

The Swedish defender endured a difficult start to life at Parkhead but has very much come into his own in recent times. On the other hand, the Celtic defence has appeared to struggle since he has been out injured, after being forced off the pitch against Livingston.

Thus, it is safe to say that the manager would like to have the defender back in the mix of things as soon as possible and he is another player who is expected to be back available after the international break. Upon returning from his injury, one would expect Starfelt to resume his impressive partnership with Cameron Carter-Vickers in the heart of the Celtic defence.
