Lee Buchanan is another player who has enjoyed a quick rise through the ranks and at 20 years of age, he finds himself as a regular in the Derby County starting XI and is one of the best players in Wayne Rooney’s side right now.

Left-back has been a problem position for Celtic for quite a while. To be honest, they have never quite managed to replace Kieran Tierney since he left a couple of years back to join Arsenal.

Several players have come in but they have not managed to replace the Scottish left-back’s impact on the team. And that is understandable. Since leaving Celtic, Tierney has established himself as one of the top players at Arsenal.

At the moment, Postecoglou has a number of players available to him who can play at left-back. Greg Taylor, who is currently out recovering from surgery, Boli Bolingoli, Adam Montgomery, Liam Scales, and Josip Juranovic are all capable of playing there. But none of them have managed to quite make the position their own till now.

Thus, it is not hard to see why the club are being linked with someone like Buchanan. He is very highly-rated and is already making his mark in the Championship at such an early stage of his career.

Also, Derby County currently find themselves at the bottom of the table and there are some rumours that they could be open to letting Buchanan leave in January.

A player like him could prove to be an excellent addition to Postecoglou’s squad. It remains to be seen if the club do indeed make a move in the upcoming transfer window though.
