Boli Bolingoli is close to securing Celtic transfer exit
It looks like Boli Bolingoli is finally closing in on a transfer exit from Celtic and it is quite remarkable considering the stunt he pulled off earlier.
It is arguable that Celtic would have already been looking to cut their losses on Boli Bolingoli after he has a below par first season at the club since joining from Rapid Vienna for a transfer fee in the range of £3 million last summer.
His decision to go to Spain without letting any of the club officials know and then coming back to feature in the game against Kilmarnock when he should have been quarantining instead just sealed his fate. Celtic went through a lot of trouble as a result of his actions and it is unlikely that he will get to put on the Hoops ever again.
While many fans wanted the club to just rip up his contract, the financial implications of that meant that the club have been looking to find him another club instead. It has been without doubt a hard task though considering the fact that he has not been a great performer for Celtic and his protocol break also makes him someone most clubs would not actually want at this point of time anyway.
Out of the blue though, AS Roma appear to be interested in the Belgian left-back after letting go off Aleksandar Kolarov. According to Tutto Mercato Web, talks were actaully held on Tuesday and now he is closing in on a switch to the Italian capital.
It is safe to say that not many Celtic fans would be heartbroken to see Bolingoli leave. In fact, the rumour seems almost too good to be true when you think about it. And most supporters would be hoping that the deal goes through quickly so that the Hoops go out and bring in a new left-back.
