3 things we learned from Celtic’s 3-1 win vs Hibernian

How did the rest play?
All the others did well. It was good to see Elhamed getting another game to add the experience to a makeshift defence. Welsh looked solid as usual and he too may be needed for the season ahead with Simunovic gone. Ralston did alright, this might have been about giving the squad playing time and needing a position filled than another chance for him. With the competition ahead of him for the first team it looks unlikely.
Soro seems to be settling in well too. Good defensively and skilful, it’s likely he needs more games in a settled team to get to know how everyone around him plays. But that may take a little time. Ntcham was the most experienced player here, but even there it’s hard to provide the support everyone else needs. He’s very much still a player we need and he’s probably our best option to play in this team and add real value.
Hazard did well in goal stopping a few good Hibernian attempts, but is still likely to be behind Bain and a new No.1 (hopefully). McInroy looks to be good cover on the left with another solid hard working display following on from his match yesterday.
Welsh looked solid at the back. It was a decent run out and impressive win from our definitely nowhere near regular first team selection. Elsewhere Robertson and Henderson did their chances no harm, but it feels as though if a midfield place was ever up for grabs this season, it’s for Dembele or Connell more than them currently.
