3 players Celtic could send out on loan next season
Vakoun Issouf Bayo
Bayo, the 23-year-old Ivorian forward, could potentially benefit from some first-team play as well. Another January 2019 signing for the Hoops, Vakoun does have some senior squad experience since arriving at Parkhead, making 14 appearances for the side. He made his first appearance in 2019 in a late win over Kilmarnock but did not see the pitch again that season.
In Cup play, he scored in each of his appearances for the side during their Scottish Cup and Scottish League Cup runs. However, he failed to register a goal in his eleven other appearances for the Hoops.
With it looking more and more likely that star forward Odsonne Edouard will return to pursue history next season, as well as the return of Leigh Griffiths and Lennon’s new forward Patryk Klimala, it looks less likely that Bayo will have an opportunity to see playing time and develop at Parkhead.
With some speculation that he should be sold to help fund a transfer for Fraser Forster from Southampton, he could have a bright future at the club if given a proper loan spell to see more consistent first-team play. Especially with Edouard’s future after 2021 in doubt if he does return, Bayo could potentially then break into the squad if he does depart, but would benefit from play time in order to do so.
