Pictures emerge of Celtic transfer target with Hoops scarf
A potential Celtic transfer target appears to be a longtime fan of the club as pictures have emerged of him with a Hoops scarf.
The summer transfer window is heating up, with talent being scouted out left and right. Neil Lennon is in the process of revitalizing Celtic’s first team with premier players ahead of the 10IAR push during this coming season.
Defense is crucial, keys pieces like Forster and Ajer are up in the air and might not return to Parkhead this season. The bosses are getting a really strong line of replacements as they push forward into the future.
A photo has emerged of Aaron Hickey, per The Celtic Star, holding a Celtic scarf above his head in the Ibrox away stand. The photo was snapped back in 2017, a real blink and you miss it image.
This is an encouraging image as players who are truly invested in The Hoops are a welcome sight. Celtic are on the brink of making history, and they need players who know what is at stake for the fans and their teammates.
Hickey started in the youth teams with Heart of Midlothian, showing promise for the Edinburgh side. He then played at the Celtic Academy for a brief stint during his youth career before returning to Hearts in 2018. This resulted in a contract clause where The Hoops will receive 30% of whatever money Hearts make if they transfer Hickey in the future. He scored his first goal as a professional back in September 2019 against Hibernian. He has made two appearances for the senior side, as he gains experience, but now Celtic have taken notice.
The Bhoys are looking to make a deal with Hearts to bring the youngster into the fold at Parkhead. He has one year left on his contract. Celtic are even going as far as waving the 30% transfer cut that they would get from signing the seventeen year old. The extra money could benefit Hearts as they renter the Championship this season, so it seems like this could be the move to get them to sign off on the move.
