Celtic centre-back Kristoffer Ajer has just made a move that puts a massive twist in his possible Parkhead exit this summer transfer window.

With the summer transfer window drawing near the drama is heating up. Celtic centre-back Kristoffer Ajer has had rumours swirling around him since before the season even ended when his agent, or shall we say “former” agent declared he would not be returning for another season.

But the devil is in the details when it comes to these types of things. Ajer has not expressed his desire to leave the Hoops personally, and all communication we have heard regarding a potential exit has been through his agent.

Many supporters have stated their opinion that this former-agent of Ajer may have been trying to make a name for himself as well as some money. Now that the Norwegian has decided to part ways with his canary of an agent according to the Daily Record, it opens up the possibility that the centre-back has no interest in leaving and would like to stick around for the 10-in-a-row.

As reported in the Daily Record, Tore Pedersen said:

"“My contract with Kris expired this May.“Why wasn’t it renewed? Kris must answer about his choice, if he wants to.“Did I want to renew? Yes of course. Kris is a brilliant guy, and a very good central defender.“I have followed his career since he was 15 years old. I wish him all the best in the future.”"

Ajer has built and incredible relationship with fellow centre-back Christopher Jullien. Despite some hot and cold performances from the Norwegian this past season, this club is better with him on it than elsewhere. However, that does not mean that a bidding war will not ensue for the Norwegian’s services, nor that Celtic has put a price tag on the centre-back.

If another club comes along and meets the reported £20 million price tag then Ajer is all but assuredly seen his last in the Green and White.
