With 9IAR already secured, Celtic must now turn their attention to next season and what they have to do to win a historic 10-in-a-row, a feat that has never been achieved in Scottish football.

Nine in a row is complete. It’s historic and momentous to have secured 9 in a row once never mind twice. To make it to a mind blowing ten in a row Celtic need to continue to plan and build despite the coronavirus situation. Three things would secure that success for next season and keep the club well ahead of the rest of the pack.

At other clubs managers may come and go, finances may seriously affect what they can do and who they can recruit. At Celtic, the supporters have high expectations. They will make allowances for the financial and football climate, but they will still expect Peter Lawwell and the hoops board to take the club forward. And for 10 in a row there need to be no excuses or regrets that we cut back or didn’t go far enough.

Keep hold of Odsonne Edouard

First – the huge priority, the club need to do whatever it takes to retain Odsonne Edouard for next season. His ability is not in doubt, he’s a class player who will score match winning goals and win trophies. He makes others in the team play.

Although it’s obvious he will move on for a huge fee at some point, he’s young, still learning and has a tremendous opportunity to make real history so early in his career. The signs are good that keeping him is feasible.
