A Celtic fan decided to invade the Ibrox pitch at night in order to plant a 9-in-a-row after the Hoops were crowned champions of Scotland.

The last few months have been filled with doom and gloom as the global pandemic has altered the manner in which we lived our lives. But yesterday brought some joy in the midst of these tough times as Celtic were finally crowned as champions of Scotland after it became clear that the season cannot be resumed under current conditions. This was the Hoops’ ninth straight league title, equaling the all-time record and now they have the chance to go for the Holy Grail next season!

The process of this crowning has been a tedious one though as the Rangers board, media and fans did everything in their power to get the season declared ‘null and void’. Of course, 30 games had already been played and doing so made no noise considering the fact that Celtic had a 13 point lead at the top of the table. But apparently common sense is not that common after all.

The process was long drawn out but Celtic finally declared as champions yesterday after the Rangers board failed in their attempt to launch an investigation into the SPFL. As expected, the announcement was met with a great deal of excitement and joy.

We have already seen how two fearless Celtic fans posed with 9IAR flags outside of Ibrox. But now one fan has done them one better and actually invaded the Ibrox pitch to plant the flag in the middle of it. The video made rounds on social media:

You can see in the video that the fan made it inside the stadium at night and planted the 9IAR flag into the Ibrox pitch. And considering the rivalry between the two Glasgow sides, it is safe to say that this incident is going down in Celtic folklore.
