The ex-Rangers player has had to apologise for yet another foul outburst online as other players and Celtic fans hit out and said No Thanks! to his sick post on Instagram.

He appeared to be angered by Rangers losing the EGM vote for an independent inquiry and made a couple of Instagram posts.in response.  The first was probably fair game in the banter stakes from a Rangers fanatic. It poked fun at Peter Lawwell controlling Neil Doncaster like a puppet. We’ve all taken swipes and made jibes like that at others.

Novo then quickly showed his true nature, as evidenced in the past by scandalous posts against Celtic of the type you’d expect from a typical Rangers hard core fan reverting to type. A badly written message was posted by him on Instagram. He referred to the death of Phil O’Donnell and accused Celtic of using that to cheat and gain an advantage over Rangers through postponing a match against them to strengthen their available team for the rearranged match.

O’Donnell was well respected when at Celtic by the fans. Almost everyone in Scottish football and beyond was absolutely shocked by his sudden death on the pitch in the midst of a game for Motherwell. It’s no joke or point scoring matter.

A couple of players immediately responded online to Novo’s lack of respect. Tony Watt ex Celtic was joined by his now Motherwell teammate  Declan Gallagher in indicating a very firm No Thanks Novo to that sort of behaviour. Between them they branded Novo’s message as disgusting and a rat emoji, was added in Gallagher reply. Many fans and those with true respect added their comments in protest too.

Novo probably hasn’t any real professional advice about how to conduct himself or he wouldn’t regularly get into such scrapes. He may have got very basic advice from somewhere as the messages have since been deleted and he has since issued an apology to Phil O’Donnell’s family via the Daily Record. It’s more likely from advice than a wave of decency.

He’s clearly had help with the words as the apology is very clear and precise. It’s much better than his usual online rambling, even allowing for the point of English not being his first language. In the same way,  decency and respect don’t seem to be his first behaviours.

Novo has once again underlined why he isn’t anywhere near the level of the few Rangers players Celtic fans might even consider some grudging rival respect for.

Definitely No Thanks Novo!
