Chris Sutton has his say on that dossier, shares his view on the Rangers board, management and team and does so in his own, no holds barred style.

He opens strongly with a snappy and pointed title and keeps on scoring from that fast start. A bit like his first win over Rangers in that 6-2 match. The former Celtic man wrote in his column in the Daily Record:

"“The Rangers dossier was so weak they must have produced it on their Dubai trip.”"

Sutton slammed the Rangers board as being just like their team, unable to deliver when it matters. He regularly referred back to how poor the Ibrox side have been since the winter break. Sutton goes on to talk about how Rangers keep deflecting issues away by pointing at others. In this instance they are diverting the fans attention away from performances and silverware.

In a swipe at the dossier itself he quoted a lawyer friend:

"“It looked as though it had been drawn up by a first-year trainee at a big firm.Piffle, embarrassing, misguided, unnecessary and irrelevant”"

The embarrassing dossier and subsequent attempts to try and rescue it by Stewart Robertson, have most likely meant the resolution for another independent inquiry is doomed to failure.

Oh, and by the way Stewart when the club, or the company uses the word “bullied” in some of the many official statements or tweets, it’s hard to deny that later. Though to be fair, it is hard to keep up given how many are produced.

Sutton reckoned that this is the start of deflection from Rangers about 10 in a row. Setting the tone for a ‘The whole world is against us. No one likes us‘ attitude and indeed tactic at Ibrox.  He draws on their recent history of wailing at the officials for losing the League Cup final and at the media, opposing fans and officials for picking on Morelos.

Morelos by the way is on a record breaking run over recent weeks, it’s one of his longer periods without a yellow or red card.

In terms of the working relationship with the SPFL, Sutton reckons that’s gone now and won’t heal. He talks of Rangers planting their flag firmly in the ground with the SPFL, that’s maybe true -but it sure isn’t anything like a Premiership Champions flag for winning the league.

Sutton was an undisputed winner at Celtic, he knows what that takes and what it feels like as a player and for fans. So he was ready to question Gerrard and Tavernier’s winning mentality comments with a stinging view.

"“We keep hearing about the winning mentality under Gerrard. They haven’t won anything.“James Tavernier recently said Rangers are a team of winners, but you actually have to win something to be called winners.”"

Alongside his comments yesterday about the Rangers, Sutton also shared his view of his greatest ever goal at Celtic. A deft chip on 8 May 2004 securing a 1-0 victory and a whitewash 5-win season against Rangers.
