Rangers are threatening to take legal action against Celtic and the Scottish Premiership League if the Hoops are crowned champion.

Up next in this ridiculous saga of ‘What Will Rangers Do Next” is apparently legal action. In a cheap attempt to appease their fans, as well as make themselves feel better, Rangers are threatening legal action against Celtic and the Scottish Premiership League if Celtic are crowned champion.

Due to the suspension f play caused by the novel coronavirus, leagues and clubs are left wondering what to do about the conclusion of the season. While the best course of action would be to finish the season behind closed doors, that solution is becoming slimmer by the day.

The next course of action would be to just name Celtic champion considering they are 13 points clear atop the table. Rangers stumbled through the second half of the season and have reduced their chances of winning the league to just over 1%.

Football Insider has reported that Rangers will in fact file a lawsuit against the Hoops and SPFL if this comes to fruition. It is a poor attempt at trying to manipulate the situation the league, and quite frankly the world is currently in.

Even Aberdeen’s manager Derek McInnes has realized that the most common sense approach would to name the Hoops champion if the remaining matches were unable to be played. The only group of people who would be against this common sense approach are the ones who lack any of it- Rangers supporters.

A quick, and swift resolution to ending the season needs to occur. It is only fair to the clubs, employees, and fans of each club to do so. No one should worry about Rangers’ threat at a bogus lawsuit about a resolution that is not only fair but needed in this time.
