Odsonne Edouard is ready to sign a Celtic renewal in order to help them win ten-in-a-row next season, but the Frenchman has one condition.

Odsonne Edouard has been the shinning light for Celtic for much of this season. In 45 appearances this season, the Frenchman has scored 28 goals and provided 19 assists. If everything goes to plan, he will guide the Hoops to the Quadruple Treble and take home all the individual awards at the end of the season as well. And there is no alive who can argue against it.

With these performances though, there has been the inevitable interest from clubs all around Europe. The sad truth of modern football is that Celtic cannot hold on to their top stars these days because of the simple fact that they cannot compete financially with clubs that play in more financially lucrative leagues.

As a result, we have seen them being forced into selling one star after another. And Odsonne Edouard seems to be the next one in line headed for the Celtic exit.

But with the club set to challenge for a historic ten-in-a-row if they manage to win the Premiership this season, which they are looking very likely to after taking a commanding 13-point lead over the second-placed Rangers. So the club will surely be keen to keep their star man for at least another season, considering how high the stakes will be next season.

And it looks that Odsonne Edouard is not opposed to signing a contract renewal as well but only on one condition! According to Football Insider, the Frenchman wants Celtic to put a £30 million release clause in his contract.

Now, that means that Edouard will most likely leave at the end of next season for that sum as most clubs would not think twice about spending that amount on him, if he continues to play like this. On the other hand, they could try and extract more money for him by selling him at the end of the current season.

But considering the fact that Celtic have the chance to create history by winning ten-in-a-row next season, the choice is pretty clear. Keep French Eddy at all costs!
