Rangers fans are having a hard time dealing with their Scottish Cup elimination vs Hearts, with a Quadruple Treble looming on the horizon for Celtic.

It is safe to say that the wheels have fallen off of the Rangers’ bus and now they are just looking for people to throw under. After seeing their team fall 12 points behind Celtic in the Premiership title race, they also had to witness Steven Gerrard’s side crash out of the Scottish Cup after a 1-0 defeat against Hearts.

The Scottish Cup was probably their last chance to win a trophy this season and it looks like their long and agonizing wait for a trophy will continue. Let’s be honest, what are the chances they are going to win either the Premiership or the Europa League this season?

And after weeks of pointing fingers at one player or another, it looks like the supporter’s patience with Gerrard has run out and now it is him that the Rangers fans are targeting. The general consensus on Twitter seemed to be that it was only a matter of time before he was given the sack with many going as far as to ask for it immediately – mere days after they acted like he was the next Sir Alex Ferguson after taking them to the Last 16 of the Europa League.

The reaction to their defeat was a sight to behold. And one that Celtic fans would have enjoyed a lot:

The turn around for Rangers since their return from Dubai has been incredible. After spending the entire winter break proclaiming how they were destined to win the league title and end Celtic’s run at the top of Scotland, the wake up call has been a harsh one. And judging by their recent meltdown, they have not taken too kindly to it.
