Neil Lennon’s recent claim about Marian Shved after Celtic completed their training camp in Dubai will have the fans excited.

Celtic have not been able to bring in any new faces till now in the January transfer window. Although rumours are that the club have agreed to pay Polish striker Patryk Klimala’s €4 million release clause and he is set for a medical tomorrow. But nothing is official yet.

On the other hand, Scott Sinclair and Lewis Morgan have already left the club. Sinclair signed with Preston North End after rotting in the Celtic reserves for the first half of the season. Lewis Morgan is also headed to Inter Miami after he agreed terms with the club according to the Daily Mail and his departure was later confirmed by Neil Lennon as well.

Thus, the club are short of options on the wings and could be looking to sign replacements in January. But there is one player already at Parkhead, who could be like an absolutely new acquisition as he has not featured much this season till now. And that man is Marian Shved.

The Celtic fans have been very vocal about giving Shved an opportunity as he has made only two appearances. That could be about to change though as Neil Lennon seemed impressed with the Ukrainian following the completion of Celtic’s training camp in Dubai. Thus, one can only hope that it is going to translate into first-team chances in the near future.

As reported by The Scottish Sun, the Celtic manager said:

"“They’ve all trained well. It’s good to see Daniel Arzani back, Marian Shved has had a good week.“The senior ones like Chris Jullien, Browny, McGregor, Ntcham – they’ve all trained very well.“They’ve taken a few bumps and bruises so hopefully we’ll get the rest of the squad up to speed for Monday/Tuesday and then we’ll look forward to the game.“But I think what was at the end of a pretty hectic schedule, the break was welcomed and the players will feel the benefit of it as we go along.”"

James Forrest’s form has fallen off a cliff recently and he needs some competition in his position after being an automatic starter for the first half of the season. Shved could very well be that man. He certainly has the talent for it and it is very surprising that it took Lennon till January to notice that.
