One of Celtic’s most trusted players and wingers is reportedly on the move to the United States to play for David Beckham‘s Inter Miami.

In a somewhat surprising move for Celtic, they are reportedly moving a winger and make-shift striker to David Beckham’s Inter Miami, a new club in the Major League Soccer (MLS) league. Lewis The player in question is Lewis Morgan who has helped provide quality depth to a club that has desperately needed it.

The winger, and serviceable striker has provided cover for Mohamed Elyounoussi, and the entire striker corps when Odsonne Edouard, Vakoun Issouf Bayo and Leigh Griffiths were all out with injury this season.

On the other hand, he is not headed anywhere at the moment and Celtic could use the space for someone who can challenge for a first-time spot.

If Lewis Morgan is on the move, the Hoops should have a plan in place to replace his production he is able to bring to the club.

According to the The Daily Record, Celtic has accepted an offer from Inter Miami for the winger:

"“Scotland star Lewis Morgan is flying back from Dubai for talks over a move to David Beckham’s Inter Miami.“Celtic have accepted a significant six figure sum for the winger from the Major League Soccer new boys.”"

Lewis Morgan has been a central cog in helping this Hoops squad churn through the season that has seen its fair share of injury. Celtic cannot expect to win the domestic league, much progress further in the Europa League if it wishes to sell off key depth pieces and not use any of the cash to upgrade.

Lewis Morgan will mark the second winger to have moved this winter from the club, while it has only signed a 15-year old to the developmental squad. The midfield and striker positions are where upgrades are reinforcements are dearly needed.

Hopefully the Hoops board and Neil Lennon have a plan in place to allow Celtic the best chance possible to succeed in the domestic league and in Europe.
