Celtic is set to open talks with another centre-forward who could provide extra depth, and another option behind Odsonne Edouard.

Celtic have been linked to numerous strikers, midfielders, and many young depth and reserve players during this winter transfer window. The Hoops most immediate need is another striker or centre-forward and a midfielder that can come into the club and make an immediate impact.

Celtic has a habit of only making additions of younger players that show promise. In turn, they then develop those players and sell them off, usually for significant profit. The issue has now arisen in which Rangers have made up significant ground in talent and points in the Scottish Premiership League table.

The Hoops have no other way around the issue than to add a couple of key, meaningful signings. With that, enter the newest rumoured player: Patryk Klimala.

Patryk Klimala plays for Polish-side Jagiellonia Bialystok, and has scored seven goals in 17 appearances in this season. He first the mold that Celtic like to play by. At 21-years old, he is young enough to develop as Neil Lennon and the club like to see, but also has enough talent to make an immediate impact.

According to Football Insider 247, the asking price for Patryk Klimala is a reasonable amount for such a player:

"“A fee of around £5million would seal the deal for player who fits the Celtic template of having immense potential and the capacity to develop and generate a sell-on profit in the years to come.”"

After the amount of money that the Hoops have made from Europa League successes, previous transfers (Kieran Tierney) and the relative low-cost of the current squad, £5 million should not be an issue for the board.

Bringing in just a few key signings could change the tide in the favour of the Hoops, and help to see the team to 9-in-a-row.
