With all eyes on what transfer business Celtic will do in the January transfer window, Brendan Rodgers must also make the decision to trim the current squad of players that are not cutting it.

Celtic’s lack of transfer business in the summer has laid bare the lack of quality among many of the fringe players, while some like Ryan Christie have taken their chance and not looked back. Sadly he is the exception to the rule.

New strikers are a must for Celtic in the January window as Rodgers has already admitted after Leigh Griffiths was given an extended leave of absence to deal personal problems off the field.

But while speculation mounts on who Rodgers has his eye on and if Lee Congerton can actually spot talent when it is staring him in the face – we are looking at five players who should be heading out the exit door.
