Celtic fans were left worried when they saw the starting XI that Brendan Rodgers had put out to take on Livingston in an important league game. The Hoops already held a four-point lead over the Rangers and needed to at the very least maintain that. Of course, everybody understood the need to rest players before their upcoming Champions League game vs Kairat.

The fear was that a lot of changes had been made to the team. Perhaps too many. This was a team that the Hoops had never fielder before.

For a good while, it had looked like Rodgers had made a mistake. The Hoops were struggling to get things going and did not have a single shot on target in the first half hour of the game.

But then, they were able to pick things up. While it ended 0-0 at half-time, they had managed three shots on target in the final 15 minutes. Then, they came out of the blocks fast after the break and eventually, were able to win the game.

'What we should be doing' - Unhappy Rangers fans react to Celtic win

Of course, there are many people who will say that this was just Livingston. But even then, we have seen many teams struggle to get results even against these oppositions.

As one Rangers fan pointed out: "That's them doing what we should be doing."

Another Rangers supporter appears to have given up already: "You just know they will stroll it again this year, such a boring league. Even they are bored of it."

One more wrote: "Annoyed at myself thinking they might drop points when I seen their team and score at half time."

Rangers dropped points in both of their games to start off the season. On the other hand, Celtic were able to pick up a win even while fielding their second-string side. The likes of Daizen Maeda, Reo Hatate, Callum McGregor, Cameoron Carter-Vickers and Kieran Tierney were all on the bench.

It is worth pointing out that Benjamin Nygren is proving to be a pretty good signing. He scored twice against Livingston when the team needed somebody to come up with a goal. Johnny Kenny would add a third to seal the three points.
