Every time Celtic defeat the Rangers, it feels like some Ibrox supporters come up with some sort of excuse or talking point to deflect from the result. This time around, it seems to be the Auson Trusty incident in the game. In fact, there have even been some suggestions that the club are going to write to the SFA, looking for an explanation why the American defender was not sent off on the day.

Well, it is worth pointing out that the Rangers did see a man sent off in the recent Glasgow Derby. Thelo Aasgaard was shown a red card for his challenge on Anthony Ralston in the first half.

The issue is, there was a night and day difference between the two challenges. There was little to no force behind the one from Trusty. And we feel that the yellow card was a fair decision.

The referee on the day, Nick Walsh, appeared to have the same view on the matter as well. As reported by The Herald, James Tavernier said:

"He just said it's obviously [down to] the force of the stamp."

It is hard to argue with that explanation to be honest. It is pretty much a fact. And yet, it looks like the Rangers are looking to make a discussion out of it,

If the shoe was on the other foot, would Celtic fans have felt the same way? Perhaps, they would have. That is just the nature of supporting teams in football. That being said, nobody can argue that the Hoops have been on the end of poor decisions much more often than the Rangers when it comes to derbies.

Let's be honest, the penalty that the Rangers received on the day should not have stood. So, why is not there any discussion about that decision from the referees?
