The summer transfer window is just around the corner and a lot of eyes are on Celtic and what they decide to do. The Hoops showed a lot of improvement in Europe this season, making it to the knockout phase of the Champions League for the first time in more than a decade. The aim must be to build on that and go further in the future.

On the other hand, things could get interesting domestically as well. It is believed that the Rangers are on the verge of a takeover and let's see what kind of impact that ends up having on the club. Their fans are hoping that it helps bridge the gap between them and Celtic.

So, Celtic might need to make a few additions in the summer. Fans are always hoping for big-money additions. But at the same time, some great options might be available as free agents.

Celtic are already set to sign one, having already agreed a pre-contract with Kieran Tierney. Could another Premier League veteran follow suit?

A Celtic-linked player is set to become a free agent in the summer. As reported by West Ham United's official website, Danny Ings will leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the 2024/25 season.

Celtic were heavily linked with a move for Ings towards the end of the winter transfer window, after Kyogo left for Rennes. Will that interest reemerge in the summer? We will find out.

The positive thing is that the option is there for Celtic to go out and sign someone like Ings as a free agent. They have made similar moves in the past, bringing in Kasper Schmeichel and Aaron Mooy, and they have worked out pretty well for the Hoops.
