This Celtic managerial race has been an interesting one. There has never really been a clear favourite for the job. Early on, it had looked like Ange Postecoglou but it quickly emerged that the Australian wanted to spend some time away from the game after getting sacked twice within the space of a few months. Since then, we have seen a variety of names being linked with the Hoops, but who will end up in the Parkhead hot seat?

Nothing seems settled at the moment and the favourite seems to be changing pretty much every day. Kjetil Knutsen is one of the frontrunners, thanks to the tremendous job he has done as Bodo/Glimt boss. But he is not the only one.

Wilfried Nancy has now emerged as the joint favourite for the Parkhead job. He is currently managing the Columbus Crew in the MLS.

Of course, most Celtic fans would not be delighted to see a manager from the MLS being linked with the club. That being said, Nancy's success cannot be overlooked. He has won the Leagues Cup Trophy and the MLS Cup with Columbus Crew while also finishing runners-up in the 2024 CONCACAF Champions Cup.

Of course, there is no guarantee that his success in the MLS will translate to Scottish football. But then, you can say the same about pretty much everyone who has been linked with the job lately.

None of them are a proven success story in Scottish football. Postecoglou is but he does not seem to be looking to get back into the game yet.

Let's see what the future holds for Celtic. Will they bring in their new manager in the upcoming international break or will they wait for the right option to become available?
