With merely days left in the summer transfer window, things are moving much swifter now. As things stand, Celtic do not have a team even capable of competing in the Europa League. The draw has been made and they will face AS Roma, Feyenoord, Braga, Red Star Belgrade, Stum Graz, FC Midjylland, Utrecht and Bologna in the competition.
After giving Bayern Munich a tough time in the Champions League knockout phase last season, automatic qualification has to be the target this time around. But then again, after what we saw against Kairat Almaty over two legs, it would be brave to consider any of those games as 'easy' for the Scottish champions.
It is pretty clear that Celtic need to strengthen their squad before deadline day. But at this moment, an exit is much closer than any arrival.
As reported by Anthony Joseph, Adam Idah is undergoing a medical ahead of his £7 million transfer move to Swansea City. The clubs have agreed a deal for the Ireland international striker, who said his goodbyes to his teammates last night. He has verbally agreed terms with the English club as well.

Of course, Idah had faced a ton of criticism for his recent performances. He had proven ineffective up front in a lot of games and has always struggled to establish himself as the first-choice striker for Celtic, even though he scored 20 goals last season.
That being said, at least he was an option capable of scoring goals when on form. Also, he had proven his worth in big games in the past. If or when Idah leaves, Brendan Rodgers' remaining two out-and-out strikers will be Shin Yamada and Johnny Kenny.
That is not a list that will fill Celtic fans with confidence. Let's see what the future holds. The Hoops have been linked with a move for Kasper Dolberg recently and he has the potential to be a pretty good addition to this team, and has a proven record at clubs like Ajax and Nice.
