At this point in time, Celtic are struggling to find any sort of rhythm. They have scored just eight goals in their first six Premiership games, nowhere near the Hoops' standards. And their overall play has been pretty uninspiring as well. There were signs of positivity early in the second half against Red Star Belgrade and the game against Hibernian at the weekend, but Brendan Rodgers' side managed a combine one goal over those 180-plus minutes of action.
The upcoming match at home against SC Braga is a chance to bounce back. The Portuguese side are not in good form at the moment and lost at the weekend to slip down to seventh in their league.
That being said, if Celtic fail to win or lose, it would be another major blow for the club. And they cannot afford too many at this point in time, with the fan dissatisfaction growing with every passing matchday.
That makes the game against SC Braga even more important. And now, we know the officials for that matchup.
UEFA make official announcement for Celtic vs SC Braga game
As reported by Law 5, the referee for the game between Celtic and SC Braga will be Tobias Stieler. Lasse Koslowski and Mark Borsch will be his two assistants with the fourth official being Timo Gerach. Christian Dingert will be on VAR duty alongside his assistant Pol van Boekel.
Of course, both sets of fans will be hoping that the officials do not end up being a talking point coming out of the game. Hopefully, there will no controversial decisions being made on the night.
For both teams, this is an important match. For Celtic, they need to get a win in the Europa League after only managing a draw against Red Star. On the other hand, the Braga manager is under pressure to deliver a result.
