Serie A is considered one of the top five leagues in Europe. In fact, not too long ago, it was the very best. Teams like AC Milan, Juventus and Inter were some of the most feared in European football. Times have changed and these days, it looks like even Celtic flops are ending up in the Italian top flight.
Celtic's recruitment record has been hit and miss for a good while. It is hard to remember the last time when they signed great players on a consistent basis other than Ange Postecoglou's debut campaign. It is believed that a large part of that success was down to the Australian himself and his eye for talent.
One of the last signings Celtic made during Brendan Rodgers' first stint as the club's manager was signing Vakoun Bayo from the Slovakian top flight. A lot of fans might have forgotten about the Ivorian striker already and it is not hard to understand why, considering his limited contributions for the Hoops.
Bayo has had an interesting career since leaving Celtic though. And Udinese recently announced his arrival.

Udinese announce arrival of 28-year-old Celtic flop
Udinese had actually signed Bayo already but he was sent back on loan to Watford last season, where he scored 10 goals during the 24/25 campaign. But it is safe to say that he did not have a great reputation among their supporters.
Most of them seemed quite content to see the striker leave. The comment section of the video is full of Watford fans wishing Udinese luck with Bayo and thanking them for signing him from the Hornets.
It remains to be seen how things go for Bayo in Serie A. At 28 years of age, he should be in his prime right now and this might be his last chance to reach his potential.
