Two Brendan Rodgers signings told they're not good enough for Celtic
Celtic's transfer record over the years has been shaky at best. Of course, the 2021/22 campaign was an exception in that regard, as the club made one notable addition after another over those two windows. But other than that, there have been more misses than successful additions made. And the future does not look bright for a couple of Brendan Rodgers' recent signings.
Luis Palma had shown a ton of promise upon arriving at Celtic from Aris FC, supposedly to take Jota's place in the squad. He did a good job of that at the start, scoring and assisting regularly from the wing. But as the 23/24 campaign progressed, his output declined and he eventually lost his place in the starting XI.
Another winger who was signed that same summer was Yang Hyun-jun. The South Korean has shown flashes of brilliance here and there too. But overall, he has been inconsistent and ineffective in front of goal.
Both Palma and Yang got starts against Dundee FC in Celtic's recent match. But neither was able to make an impression.

Hugh Keevins does not seem convinced by either Palma or Yang. As reported by CeltsAreHere, the pundit said on Clyde1 Superscoreboard:
"He (Yang) isn’t up to playing for Celtic, I am sorry.
“And neither is Palma. When you see Nicolas Kuhn, and Maeda and the contributions they make.
“Yang and Luis Palma are not at that level. Nowhere near it."
Palma is someone who has been heavily linked with a move away from Celtic recently. The positive is, he seems intent on succeeding at Parkhead and that is the type of player it is easy to back. Hopefully, he rediscovers his form soon.
Yang is another player who needs to go on a good run of form if he is to have a future at Celtic. He has just not done enough since arriving at Parkhead. But there is talent there for sure and hopefully, it works out for him as well.
