Tottenham Hotspur recently made a questionable decision, sacking Ange Postecoglou as their manager merely weeks after he had ended the club's 17-year wait for a trophy by guiding them to Europa League glory. Of course, that move did not go down well with Celtic fans. The Australian is considered a hero at Parkhead, having won five trophies in his two years in Glasgow.

Of course, football moves very quickly. Tottenham Hotspur are looking to replace Postecoglou as soon as possible and it looks like they are now closing in on an appointment.

As reported by talkSPORT, Thomas Frank has verbally agreed terms with Tottenham Hotspur. He is the current Brentford manager and is believed to have a £9 million release clause in his contract.

At this point in time, it looks like Frank is the runaway favourite to become the next Tottenham Hotspur manager. And that could spell bad news for Celtic.

Why should Celtic be worried about Frank becoming the next Spurs manager? Well, there is one clear reason. Reports in England have suggested that he will want Tottenham to sign Bryan Mbeumo.

Mbeumo has been Brentford's standout player under the management of Frank. If he ended up leaving, the Bees would try to bring in a replacement as soon as possible. And it has been suggested that they view Nicolas Kuhn as the perfect fit.

Kuhn has been linked with a move down south for months now. And if a club like Brentford came calling, with a big offer, it would be difficult for Celtic to turn it down, even if they want to keep the German winger around. Let's see how things play out from here. For now, Frank is still not the Tottenham Hotspur manager. That could change quickly.
