Celtic beat St Mirren 1-0 on Saturday in the Scottish Premiership title race as Martin O'Neill's side ended the split with a big three points.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain provided the only goal of the afternoon, but supporters feel that the Hoops should have found the net more than once. Even the Ox expressed this in his post-match interview.
He said on Celtic TV: "At the end of the day, that's the goal that got us the three points. I think we should have had a few more.
"When you look back at the game, I think it's similar to last weekend. Against Dundee, we probably should have been a few more up, and that's something we need to work on to make games more comfortable if we can."
There was a little bit of surprise when O'Neill started the Czech over Kelechi Iheanacho, who is out of contract in the summer. After getting a big goal at Dens Park last time out, people thought he had staked his claim to start, but the manager saw things differently.
Cvancara lacks confidence
It has become increasingly clear that Cvancara lacks confidence in front of goal. In fact, speaking before the game, O'Neill even admitted that.
He said: "Eventually, centre forwards have to live and die by the number of goals they score. He [Cvancara] missed two or three chances, one he would have scored if he was full of confidence. I think a few weeks earlier, he would have taken them.
"He was unlucky with one that hit the post, the one after half time was the one that looked a lack of confidence with the touch that got away from him.
"I wouldn’t say Iheanacho is an overconfident player, but he knows how to deal with the ball. A goal might spark Tomas [Cvancara] in that sense.
"There were parts of his game I was pleased about. Even though he’s not an out-and-out centre forward, we’ve been playing him in that position, and he’s attempted to get hold of the ball like Iheanacho can do.
"They [strikers] do need that arrogance because it can be a lonely position if you are not putting the ball in the net.
"But in terms of the strikers I had previously, it wasn’t really an issue as they didn’t go very long without putting the ball in the net."
With the Czech going another week without a goal, things aren't looking great for him. He is still desperate for a permanent move to Glasgow, but that seems increasingly unlikely as time goes on.
Hopefully, he will be able to find a sliver of form as Celtic will need every player they can for the title run-in.
