Celtic need a striker or two as soon as possible. They already looked short in that area of the pitch, having failed to score a single goal in 210-plus minutes of football against Kairat before missing three of their five spot kicks. Adam Idah was one of those who missed his penalty on the night. And that looks set to be his last action in a green-and-white jersey.

A deal is believed to be in place with Swansea City over a £7 million move for Idah. But Celtic will only green-light that when they have a replacement in place.

Kasper Dolberg seems to be the player they have in their sights for that spot. The former Nice and Ajax man currently plays for Anderlecht, who are believed to be open to the idea of an exit after missing out on European football.

As reported by Sky Sports, negotiations between Celtic and Anderlecht for Dolberg are progressing well. It is understood there is a will from all parties to get a deal done. The Scottish champions want to bring him in as soon as possible, while the Belgian side are hoping to boost their finances after dropping out of European competitions.

Over the course of the window, many questions have been raised about the level of players Celtic are trying to bring in. The same cannot be said about Dolberg though.

He is a proven goalscorer who had a solid record at Ajax, did decently well at Nice and is doing pretty well at Anderlecht as well. So, this could be a great addition.

Let's see what the future holds for Celtic and Dolberg. One can only hope that they are able to get this deal over the line this summer.
