A lot of fans might have forgotten about Craig Bellamy's loan spell at Celtic. While brief, he did score 9 goals in 15 games for the Glasgow giants. Now, the Hoops seem to be looking to bring him to Parkhead on a permanent basis but as the manager of the club, having said goodbye to Brendan Rodgers recently after the Northern Irishman resigned from his post, having seen them fall eight points behind Hearts in the title race.

Celtic have put Martin O'Neill and Shaun Maloney in interim charge. And after just one game, they have been able to cut that lead down to six.

That being said, most do not view a 73-year-old O'Neill as a long-term solution for the club and understandably so. They need to bring in a permanent manager, preferably before the January transfer window, in order to give them the chance to strengthen the squad and rebuild it in their own vision.

Bellamy is not a very experienced manager but he has impressed as the Wales national team boss. They are still in contention to qualify for the World Cup. And that might prevent any move from taking place.

As reported by Sky Sports News, despite Celtic's interest, Bellamy and the FAW are completely focused on the future for Wales. They have crucial World Cup Qualifiers coming up.

Well, there are often twists and turns in football. That being said, until now, most of the managers being linked with the Celtic job have ended up distancing themselves from it.

Bellamy is not the only one who does not seem to be interested at this point in time. Ange Postecoglou is said to be looking to spend time away from the game as well after being sacked by Tottenham Hotspur and Nottingham Forrest within months of each other. And Kieran McKenna seems happy at Ipswich Town as well.
