Celtic need a goalscorer. That became pretty evident over the two legs against Kairat Almaty. The Hoops played over 210 minutes of football against the Kazakh side, who looked tired for a significant portion of that. Yet, the Scottish champions could not find a way to score and were eliminated on penalties, missing three of five from the spot. It does not get worse than that.
A lot of Celtic fans do not seem eager on the idea of signing someone like Jamie Vardy. Yet, they could have done with someone like him in midweek. Or perhaps someone like Bojan Miovski.
Miovski was a phenomenal goalscorer during his time with Aberdeen but has failed to replicate that form following a £6.8 million move to Girona. Now, merely a year later, he could be on his way out of the La Liga side.
Celtic have been linked with a move for Miovski, as you would expect. But it is the Rangers who seem to be taking the necessary steps to sign him.

As reported by Sky Sports, Girona have given Miovski permission to speak to Rangers over a move to Ibrox. If personal terms can be agreed, it will be up to the clubs to negotiate a deal. The player is open to reviving his career in Scotland.
Miovski scored 44 goals in 98 games for Aberdeen. It is not hard to see why he might be open to the idea of a return to Scotland. It remains to be seen if the Rangers can find an agreement for him.
This feels like a no-brainer of a move for Celtic to consider as well. Adam Idah is not the answer, that should be pretty clear to everybody by now. And at this point, one has to question whether Daizen Maeda's form in front of goal last season was just a purple patch. The Hoops need a new striker, and they need him before this window closes.
