After weeks of inactivity, or at the very least unsuccessful activity, things are finally starting to take shape for Celtic in the transfer market. The club have finally found a striker, having agreed a deal with Borussia Monchengladbach for Czech international Tomas Cvancara. And they do not intend to stop there.
There are other positions where Celtic need to strengthen. Earlier in the day, we had reported on their interest in Damir Redzic, also dubbed the 'Hungarian Arjen Robben'. He is not the only one on the club's radar though.
Another winger Celtic have been linked with for quite some time is Jesurun Rak-Sakyi of Crystal Palace. He was linked with the Hoops in the summer as well but a move did not happen, and he was sent to Turkish side Rizespor.
He has been recalled since then. And as reported by Sky Sports, Crystal Palace are weighing up two proposals for Rak-Sakyi. Celtic and Stoke City have offers on the table for the winger.
Sky Sports confirm Celtic have made bid for Crystal Palace player
Crystal Palace are said to be more than open to offers for Rak-Sakyi. Ideally, they would like a permanent deal. If not possible, they would want a loan with achievable outcomes to trigger an obligation to buy.
Someone like Rak-Sakyi could be a good addition to this Celtic team. He was doing a decent job while on loan in Turkey, scoring four goals in 13 appearances. Before that, he had had positive spells at Charlton Athletic and Sheffield United, proving himself as an effective winger at a variety of levels.
It is believed that Crystal Palace would like around £8 million to part ways with the player. That might be too steep a figure for Celtic to pay outright or have an obligation for. The Hoops are believed to be open to a loan with option to buy.
