With less than two weeks left in the summer transfer window, Celtic will know that they need to move quickly to get things done, both in terms of incomings and outgoings. News broke out yesterday that the Hoops were in the market for four more signings and could look towards a potential fifth, depending on the extent of the injury that Alistair Johnston suffered in the game against Kairat.

Of course, it might take a bit of time to get things done in terms of incomings. We have already seen the Hoops struggled to get deals over the line this summer.

It looks like they have agreed on and given the green light to an exit though. And that could point that a signing is close as well.

As reported by Sky Sports, Rapid Vienna have renegotiated terms on a permanent deal to sign Marco Tilio from Celtic. It’s understood the two clubs have agreed a deal worth £1.3 million for the Australia international.

Tilio's exit has been anticipated for a while now. Not too long ago, it was reported that the two clubs had reached an agreement on an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy.

But it looks like Celtic were keen to keep a foreign loan option open. So, the permanent deal is going to be completed this summer itself.

Tilio was one of the first signings that Celtic made following the return of Brendan Rodgers as manager. But it just never felt like he fit in at Parkhead.

He would go on to spend most of his time at Celtic Park out on loan. And now, his time at Parkhead is set to come to an end, without ever having made much of an impact in Scottish football. We wish him the best.
