It does feel like Celtic might be picking up a bit of momentum. They won against Kilmarnock, albeit by the slimmest of margins, and followed that up with a comfortable victory against Partick Thistle. A far tougher test lies ahead though. An away trip to Serbia to take on Red Star Belgrade in the opening game of their Europa League campaign.

It goes without saying that that is one of the most interesting away games in European football and a test that the Celtic players will learn a lot from. It is also about winning though, not just learning constantly.

Celtic have been handed an injury boost heading into the game. Sky Sports Scotland posted a video of the Hoops' training session before they fly out to Belgrade to take on Red Star Belgrade.

There was a familiar face in the video. Anthony Ralston is now back training with his teammates. Could he be involved against Red Star?

Ralston picked up an injury before the last international break and has not featured since then. On the other hand, Alistair Johnston is out at the moment as well. That has handed the Hoops a problem to deal with at right-back.

It is worth mentioning that Colby Donovan has not looked out of place in the absence of both Johnston and Ralston. So, even though the latter is back, would it make sense for Brendan Rodgers to drop someone who seems to be in decent form, especially in a game of this magnitude?

We do not think so. But there is something to be said for experience on occasions like this as well. The decision will be up to the manager and one can only hope that he makes the right one as Celtic begin their Europa League campaign.
