The 2025 summer transfer window promises to be an important one for Celtic. With one year left on Brendan Rodgers' contract, the Hoops need to make sure that they do enough to convince the manager that this is the right place for him. So, expect some additions to be made while others leave to make space for the new arrivals in the squad.

That being said, some eyes with be on former players as well. With Celtic holding sell-on clauses in multiple cases, this could be a good source of added transfer windfall for the club.

Jeremie Frimpong is the one most likely to bring in a decent cash boost for Celtic this summer. A move to Liverpool is not just on the cards for the Dutchman, but starting to feel like only a matter of time.

As reported by Florian Plettenberg, Frimpong and Liverpool are on the verge of reaching a verbal agreement. The player is ready for the move and Arne Slot is very keen to sign him. It’s looking good, but the deal is not done yet.

So, if everything goes according to plan, Frimpong will be a Liverpool player soon. He is set to be the replacement for the outgoing Trent Alexander-Arnold, who is set to leave at the end of his current deal with the Premier League side.

Frimpong looks like a very good replacement. Just like Trent, his strengths lie going up the pitch, and he could be a good fit for Slot's brand of football.

For Celtic, any Frimpong move would mean a substantial cash windfall as they hold a sell-on clause as part of his deal. It remains to be seen how things play out but at the moment, there seems to be only one ending.
