Sit Alex Ferguson's name has been in the headlines more frequently in recent days than one would have expected. After all, it has been more than a decade since he retired after 26 years as the manager of Manchester United. The Scottish legend was in attendance at Parkhead for the Celtic vs Aberdeen game.

Of course, Ferguson has a storied history with Aberdeen. It was with the Dons that he first showed his potential as a manager, winning 11 trophies in total.

Another reason for the Scot's name being in the headlines is his situation with Manchester United. As reported by Fabrizio Romano, INEOS have decided to cut Ferguson’s multi-million-pound contract as an ambassador for the club.

Ferguson recently spoke about another one of his former clubs and what he took from his spell with the Rangers as a player. As reported by the Daily Record, he said while sitting down with Ally McCoist for TNT Sports:

"When I was a player here at Rangers, and I left under a cloud a bit, do you know what I got out of it, and never left me my whole life? Expectation, everywhere I went, expectation, creating an expectation. For the players, fans, your job is to get footballers who send fans home happy."

One has to wonder, what exactly are the expectations at Ibrox these days? This weekend, their fans once again celebrated the result of another team.

Celtic drew with Aberdeen. Should the Rangers fans be concerned though that the Dons did a much better job at Parkhead than their side has in almost three years now?

When it comes to Celtic, the expectations are crystal clear. Winning everything in their path domestically and showing some tangible improvement when it comes to Europe. They won a double last season and are in a good spot right now, all things considered.

Of course, there is always room to be better and hopefully, they will take some much-needed lessons from this weekend's result. Going two goals up before the break and then not winning at home simply is not acceptable.
