The summer transfer window has been a busy period of time of Celtic, both in terms of incomings and outgoings. And things do not seem to be slowing down anytime soon. While the Hoops are looking to sign wingers, it appears that two might be on their way out as well. The first is Marco Tilio, who is going on loan to Rapid Vienna.
Now, a second winger looks headed out as well. It looks like Poland is his next destination, at least for the foreseeable future.
As reported by Mark Hendry on CeltsAreHere, Luis Palma was always set to leave Celtic this summer. It looks like the deal has been done with Lech Poznan for the Honduran winger.
Clubs in Mexico and the MLS were interested in signing Palma as well. But nobody was ready to meet the £3 million transfer fee that the Hoops were believed to be looking for.
Second Celtic deal done after Marco Tilio to Rapid Vienna
Palma was highly rated when he joined Celtic in the summer of 2023, to replace Jota, from Aris FC. He made a brilliant start to life in Glasgow as well and it had looked like the club had pulled of a masterstroke by bringing in the Honduran international.
But soon enough, Palma appeared to lose his touch in front of goal. without goals and assists, there was not enough to his game to justify picking him in the starting XI on a consistent basis. As a result, he was soon out of Brendan Rodgers' plans and has never found his way back.
He went on loan to Olympiacos last season but was not able to do enough for them to consider signing him on a permanent basis. Now, it remains to be seen if he can get it done in Poland.
