Sebastian Tounekti has not been putting up big numbers for Celtic quite yet. In 11 appearances, he has managed to score just twice. That being said, nobody can deny that he has been one of the few bright spots for the Hoops this season, having joined on deadline day. And one would hope that the output is eventually going to come as well.

His performances already seem to be drawing interest from England. In fact, he is being linked with a move away from Parkhead as early as this winter.

As reported by Maghreb Foot, Leeds United are closely monitoring Tounekti. They have the aim of signing him in the upcoming winter transfer window.

It would be remarkable if Celtic end up sanctioning Tounekti's exit in the winter, less than six months after his arrival. That being said, after what we have seen in recent months, is it something that would surprise us if it actually happened? Probably not.

Tounekti is a regular starter for Celtic at the moment. So, the club should not even consider the idea of parting ways with him right now.

That being said, Jota is expected to make his return next year. And while the Portuguese winger has drawn comparisons to Tounekti, his output has historically been a lot stronger.

It might not be a case of either or, though. It is possible that Celtic could fit both Jota and Tounekti into the starting XI. In the past, we have seen the Portuguese winger play on the right during the Ange Postecoglou era. So, that is something that he can do if the situation calls for it.

One thing is for sure. Things are starting to look brighter for Celtic. And the last thing they can do is allow key players to leave.
